Minimalist and futuristic are terms that often come to mind when one realizes on the meaning of modern design. But modern design is much more than just sleek lines and white or black leather. To truly put forth modernity in the most complex ways, you need an extreme detail-oriented eye. Color, patterns, textures, shapes, and a variety of mediums can all be combined and intermixed to create an overall stimulating visual experience. Isn’t this what most strive for when trying to bring a home up to date with the current trends? Of course it’s nice to come home to an environment you’re proud to step foot in, but even more importantly, it is an expression of ones self.

We do it to boast, we do it to brag, and oh does it feel good. There are multiple furniture stores in New York, the most prominent ones being of modern design. You can find steel table frames with frosted glass tops. You can discover the contrast between antique dark oak paired with a bright yellow velvet cushion cover in an accent chair for the living room. Trendy shag rugs lay in a foyer to echo the bold statement of a deep red chandelier hand-blown from glass that hovers above. The possibilities are endless and can all be provided with modern furniture in New York.

Sometimes the most radical contrasts can bring the best results when wowing yourself and others as you walk into a new room. While visiting one of the fashion mecca’s of this world, you too can stimulate that visual hunger we all crave. The right furniture piece with just the right accessory is what you need to create an overall sensory overload when you host your next big bash; be it new years, your birthday, a family reunion, or just an excuse to hang with friends and reminisce. If you’re looking for that inspiring piece to pull your home together, New York is where you need to be.

I have one piece of advice if you are looking for an original anniversary gift idea for her: let her feel sexy in a thong g string with a matching top. I used to think the idea of receiving lingerie would be cheesy. It would have been really awkward if my boyfriend didn’t get the correct size or gave me something that I would never wear. This year he proved just how off I was.

I wasn’t expecting the details he considered when picking out my gift. He chose a subtly revealing camisole and thong g string collection. He even elongated our anniversary by choosing seven different styles of matching thong g strings. I couldn’t believe how much thought he put into the present. He admitted he had a little help by looking at the displays. I think it is sweet how considerate he was to make sure the lingerie was something I would feel comfortable putting on. I wore one of the thong g string panties for each day of the week during our anniversary. The quality was excellent and the intricate lacey edging matched the ornate top. I loved teasing him with the satiny texture. I couldn’t wait to show him a new sexy side of me each night!

I felt closer to my boyfriend because of the time he spent coming up with a great anniversary gift idea. The gift of lingerie means that he knows me inside and out. He knows my size. He knows what makes me feel confident and sexy. He knows that I have a flirty side that is wanting to come out.

I love that he brought out my playful side even though I was always hesitant. The look on his face was priceless and each night was just as exciting to see his reaction. Every young woman wants to look sexy in bedroom lingerie and cute in bedtime pajamas. Sunday was the actual night of our anniversary so I set aside the sexiest thong g-string to wear that day. I couldn’t find the matching top and decided to give him an unexpected by buttoning up one of his shirts. He was happily surprised with my change of outfit and thought it was an extra anniversary gift idea. He said he never saw me look so sexy and so adorable all at the same time. I look forward to many more nights to tease him with a different top and a new thong g string.

Need a precise model of a device so you can implement a new design before going into production? Lasers may help. Using reverse engineering, lasers can perform 3D scanning that’s precise and easily adaptable. You get an exact 3D digital scan that can then be manipulated for trial and error when it comes to forming unique designs.

Reverse engineering requires a precise digital model of the objects being produced. Laser scanning can provide such a model, no matter the size, scope or capacity of the item being scanned. Lasers can provide the exact dimensions no matter the complexity of the object. Even an entire power plant can be scanned and reproduced as a prototype, right down to the exact detail.

Lasers are also ideal for inspecting the quality and cohesion of objects, pointing out damage and wear on certain objects before they become a problem. 3D scanning takes out the guesswork and can be done quickly and efficiently. Usually, the lasers can be brought to the object being scanned, so there’s nothing to take apart and dismantle.

Lasers are also perfect for working with historical artifacts and antiques that may be damaged through handling. Using lasers only exposes the object to light, but creates an exact model that can then be replicated, tested or explored without wreaking the item. It’s perfect for historical preservation, providing exact information without damaging the objects.

It’s also terrific for ship hulls, busy highways, tall skyscrapers and underground coalmines. Even if the object is large and difficult to access, lasers make the job a breeze, providing accurate data without the needless risk of lives.

It’s ideal for making models or inspecting the cohesion of components. Take out the guesswork and know what you are actually dealing with through 3D scanning. Technology gives the precision without the brunt work of gathering it through brutal measurements and calculations.

Designers of buildings with a glass wall façade are doing themselves a great disfavor if they are using traditional CAD drawing environments for the realization of their design concepts. Rather than using CAD designed for the traditional architecture of 30-40 years ago, glass architects should employing a drawing environment that specifically suits their needs when it comes to the intricacies of creating, for example, a curtain wall section or a double facade. Standard CAD requires too much configuration to be intuitive for anyone but the most skilled CAD user; too many objects and physical properties need to be defined, whereas a product like Athena from Glazier is easily customizable for design involving curtain walls, glass panels, sheet metal framing, glass fixings, and all the rest.

Beyond a vast library of parts, this software has the usually abilities of a full-featured computer aided design suite and easily integrates with a number of other software solutions that do everything from detailed thermo-analysis to yield optimization for glass paneling and sheet metal. The basic version itself even offers up its own tools for thermoanalysis, enabling engineers to see in real time the impact different choices in materials and placement have on the functionality of the building and prompting adjustments that can save building users as much as the cost of the building over the long-run through conservation of energy by smart design and materials.

Designing a curtain wall section has never been easier than it was with this program, either. Aside from an extensive parts list, creating objects or manipulating walls into more dramatic, sloping shapes is a breeze, and user-defined objects can be easy interfaced with software designed to optimize cutting and manufacturing of pieces for construction for yield and accuracy, which reduces cost and waste and increases the speed at which products make it to market.

Take it from me, a designer in glass for the last 30 years. If much of your work involves the design of a wall façade   made and if you could benefit from faster design times on a more intuitive interface that responds specifically to the needs of those designing glazier buildings, then you should absolutely be using software suited to the task. The time it will save you in the first your alone will pay for it and enable you to provide quicker, more inventive service to the clients who count on you to turn their modern visions into realities.

Has excessive washing machine noise started to interfere with your life? You are not alone. Many people are living with the consequences of having an annoyingly noisy machine. The washing machine vibration can vary tremendously in the type of noise that it generates. It can result in a distracting humming noise or be as intense as a loud banging noise depending on the severity of these problems. Depending upon your individual circumstances, these problems can have a significant impact upon your daily life.

If you happen to reside in a condominium or town home, excessive washing machine vibration can impact and restrict when you are able to do your laundry. This is a rather unfortunate outcome, especially if you are like most Americans and you have a relatively full schedule. No one wants to spend their weekend washing load after load of laundry because they can not run their noisy machine during the evening hours out of fear that they may be disrupting their neighbors. Fortunately manufacturers have realized what a general problem that washing machine noise is for many people and they have invented solutions that can reduce the noisy vibrations.

Washing machine vibration is caused by the spin cycle of the unit. The rapidly spinning mechanics typically cause a high frequency vibration to be produced from the machine. This usually causes a buzzing or a humming noise that can be irritating. Your machine has been built with an internal dampening system that is designed to reduce the noise caused by the constant vibrations. Now if your machine has been around for awhile, the internal dampening system will lose its effectiveness over time. You will notice that the vibrations will grow louder and that your machine may start to move around a bit more throughout the spin cycle. This is typically the point where people will start to limit the times when they can do their laundry so that they do not inconvenience neighbors or anyone else inside of their home.

Once washing machine noise starts affecting your life, it is time that you look for a solution to your difficulty. Check out products that are available to enhance your washing machine’s dampening capabilities. You will be surprised by the number of different products that are available and their affordability. You can buy yourself some time by purchasing these types of accessories instead of running out and spending a few hundred dollars on a new machine altogether.
